Ebrex Logistics (Turkey) Ltd. has become an approved partner of the NTTD (Netherlands Turkey Trade Directory) B-2-B network in Turkey.
The NTTD came to life as an initiative of the Consulate General of The Netherlands and is aiming to stimulate and support business and networking relations among the Dutch business community in Turkey.

PPG Sigma Coatings entered the Turkish market in 2008 this to enhance their sales activities in the CIS region.
The market segment Sigma Coatings operates in is the marine and shipbuilding industry. Coatings and paints are supplied both to shipyards building new ships and yards which are performing maintenance on vessels.
To optimize the freight cost and the overall transport performance Sigma and Ebrex have entered into an agreement as of November 2009. Ebrex Turkey will start to manage all sea and road freight inbound flows destined for Turkey.

The Paris based luxury retail company Hermes is opening its first store in Istanbul Turkey before the year end of 2009. Refurbishment of the store location is in full progress and is bound to be finalized in November.
Hermes has selected Ebrex and its strategic partner Turuncu Gumruk as their solution providers for all transport, customs and warehousing services in Turkey.
Ebrex provides individual project solutions for the transport of all store interior parts originating from all over Europe. Upon arrival of the goods to Turkey efficient and fast customs clearance services are provided before final dispatch of the shipments to the store.

On the 28th of September 2009 the board of Ebrex Europe Logistics BV and the curator in The Netherlands reached an agreement concerning a management buy out. With immediate effect that shares of the UK, Polish, Turkish and Russian organisations of Ebrex have been sold to the directors Twan Cuppens and Arvid Meijer. The management buy out is supported by a third investor which is the German company JDW Spedition GmbH from Gelsenkirchen.
The main activities of entities bought by the management cover European Freight Management solutions and Warehousing. The new owners confirmed that all employees will keep their jobs, but that the name Ebrex will eventually be replaced.

The role of Ebrex Turkey in handling airfreight between The Netherlands and Turkey is growing. Having a hands-on, committed and quality focussed team on the ground in The Netherlands is therefore of importance to satisfy our clients.
To make a leap forward in quality Ebrex Turkey establed a close cooperation with OTX Logistics in The Netherlands.
OTX Logistics is an independant Dutch company with locations at Amsterdam airport, Rotterdam, Enschede and Hong Kong (china). OTX is also the founder of FashionCare Logistics, a joint venture between OTX, Van der Helm Group BV and Fashionwheels BV.

During the recent years the volumes between the UK, Russia, Turkey and Germany have been growing steadily within the EELO organisation. Germany therefore became an important market which required a daily collection & delivery operation.
To offer of clients a stable solution for Germany Ebrex Europe Logistics B.V. (EELO) entered into an agreement with the German company JDW-Spedition GmbH in Gelsenkirchen.
Our new partner will handle Ebrex traffic between Germany and the UK, Turkey and Poland. Their hub in Gelsenkirchen will offer our clients daily connections to various European destinations.

Uptill July 2009 Ebrex Polska SP. Z o.o. & Ebrex Logistics (Turkey) Ltd. were organizing collections and pick ups across the Benelux through its own organization.
The growing volumes and the demand for fast and efficient customs clearance were the major drivers to seek a solid and experience partner for the Benelux.
As of August 2009 the newly appointed partner for the Benelux is the company Gondrand-Traffic B.V. with offices in Venlo & Moerdijk (NL).

Ebrex Polska Sp. Zoo and Ebrex International Forwarding BV in The Netherlands started to operate a frequent line-haul operation between Turkey and The Netherlands mid 2008.
The growth in volumes on this line and the aim to offer our clients a quality service have made Ebrex decide to start using a pool of 6 own Ebrex trailers on the route between The Netherlands and Turkey.
Whereas Ebrex uptill April 2009 was making use of fixed subcontractors the strategy now changed to making use of both own and subcontracted trailers.
The line haul service is connecting the cities of Istanbul (TR) and Tilburg (NL) multiple times per week and from the Ebrex hub in Tilburg shipments are delivered or collected within 24 hrs throughout the Benelux.
The Ebrex fleet consists of:
- Five 80 cubic meter TILT trailers
- One 120 cubic meter Road Train

The European head office of Penske Logistics in The Netherlands has appointed the Ebrex organization to be its key partner within the Turkish market.
The Turkish office of Ebrex will as per May 2009 take up the challenging task to manage all road freight outbound flows (export) from Turkey to Spain, The Czech Republic, Poland and the United Kingdom.

Ebrex Europe Logistics and Volvo Cars entered into a new 3 year agreement which took effect in quarter one of this year.
Ebrex will take up the logistic management for the spare parts flows from the Volvo Cars main warehouse in Göteborg / Sweden and will transit the cargo via Estonia to the Ebrex site in Moscow / Russia. Also in this new agreement the newly established office of Ebrex in Russia will coordinate the local distribution activities to the local Volvo dealers.
According to Mr. Arvid Meijer, CEO of Ebrex Europe Logistics, the experience of Ebrex in managing spare part flows to Russia and having own licenses were the decission making criteria for Volvo Cars to select the Ebrex organisation for this specific task.
Ebrex is organizing the loading, transit, unloading and distribution activities all by itself in this operation since it is our believe that full control is the only way to guarantee quality. Within the operation the Ebrex offices in Poland, Estonia and Russia will work in close cooperation.

Ebrex Europe Logistics renewed the contract with Ford for another 3 years.
The renewal took effect in January of this year and meant that Ebrex Poland and Russia will continue serving Ford in the management of their supply chain towards Moscow / Russia.
The operation under management concerns the collection, transit, customs and distribution operations for spare parts originating from the European Ford DC in Cologne / Germany upto the Ebrex site in Moscow. A new element to the partnership is that Ebrex Russia will coordinate as of this year all local distribution activities in Moscow.

Fayrouz is an international premium soft drink and is fully owned and marketed by the international Heineken Corporation, based in Amsterdam - The Netherlands.
Fayrouz had been introduced in the Turkish market in the beginning of 2008. The companies volumes grew and made the effecitive management of their international supply chain a an important item.
With its long standing experience in supply chain management Ebrex will manage as of March 2009 for Fayrouz the international supply chain from the sourcing locations throughout Europe upto the Turkish market.

Driven by its clients Ebrex Europe Logistics established as per January 2009 a new office in Moscow - Russia.
The Russian Ebrex office will be taking over the management task of the supply chain operation of some of our key accounts, which up till now were managed out of our Poland office. With this strategic step Ebrex aims to grow and strengthen its position in the Russian and Central-Eastern European region.
